Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat, please let our parcel box drop on your mat
Well, it’s not long to Christmas now.
Have you finished all your Christmas shopping yet? Where are you going to shop?
There are many retailers who want you to spend your hard earned cash at their store. The TV is full of Christmas adverts already.
I always look forward to watching the latest classic, iconic and artistic Christmas advert. It has become an integral part of Great British Christmas culture. It’s usually a ratings battle between John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and the major supermarkets. You must remember the ‘Man on the Moon’ advert last year and the World War One 1914 Christmas Day football match truce advert in 2014.
Take a look at the Battle of the Christmas Adverts here…
The Battle of the Christmas Adverts - Sainsbury's, John Lewis and M&S
Christmas adverts are a big deal - and big bucks. What are some of the big hitters from recent years, and were they worth all the bluster?
I was a little disappointed with the John Lewis advert this year. It’s not a bad advert. What’s not to like about the cute furry animals and Buster the bouncing Boxer.
This is the story of a little girl called Bridget who loves to bounce. When her mum and dad buy her a trampoline for Christmas, they soon discover that she isn’t the only one with a passion for jumping.
However, the parody of the John Lewis advert featuring Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton is brilliant.
This mimics the surprising result of the USA presidential race. Top marks for imagination and ingenuity.
Will these adverts influence our shopping habits…perhaps so, perhaps not?
Everyone has the best of intentions to complete their Christmas shopping before the first or second week in December. It just doesn't work out that way. You pop into town on a Saturday or Sunday now and the shops are crowded and there is mayhem already, jostling, pushing, long queues at the till.
Let me check, how many days are there until Christmas? Take a look here…

Christmas Countdown 2016. How many days left until Christmas 2016?.
Mmmm, yes there’s lots of time yet, I think I’ll put it off for a week or two.
However, what with normal family life, work and those festive shenanigans, before you know it, the penny drops…you have left your Christmas shopping too late, stores are full, shelves are empty.
I’ll just have to shop online then; it’ll be a bit cheaper anyway...
Great, that solves everything, or does it?
Well not really, I’ll have to take a day off work to receive the parcels at home, if I can get them all delivered on the same day, that is.
What I need is a letterbox large enough to take parcels.
Now you can receive parcels from parcel delivery companies without being at home, simply buy a parcel drop box from Postbox Shop.
You can be assured that you only receive products of the finest quality. The majority of our products comply to BS EN:13724 AND Secured By Design New Homes Guide 2014. Post box Shop can cater for all styles and tastes whether you require a traditional or modern post box, we will have the solution.
Our Parcel Dropbox design is perfect, simply place a parcel onto the internal shelf and close the lid, which will drop it down inside the box, a section only accessible with your key. These large capacity parcel boxes are unique as they will accept multiple deliveries, and can be screwed to a wall or concreted into the ground with a base plate. Our Zurich letterbox is much smaller, ideal for both external and internal use.
Great value is the Parcel Box 500. It is a new design of both parcel and mailbox which can receive small volumes of mail and parcels. Ideal for home It has a solid powerful retractable plate Inside the top of the box which prevents parcels and mail being fished out of the box involuntarily. The Parcel Box 500 comes complete with a security locking mechanism which enhances the security of this box. It is a great advantage to be able to receive multiple deliveries, when other models only allow for one delivery at a time.
Shop early for Christmas, but buy your parcel boxes for online deliveries from Postbox Shop, first.
